two super speedy gonzales updates:


UNO: most importantly, alfred came through his surgery fine & dandy yesterday. although he does not enjoy anything about the elizabethan era...especially not the collars. 

DOS: after growing a little (understatement of the year) tired of painting the wainscoting white in the den/library room, i ventured into the master bedroom last night to start taking down the mauve/burgundy/pink floral border at the very tip-top of the 12 foot ceiling. probably not the smartest late night activity to start at midnight. 

and, VOILA: 

this wallpaper was so much kinder than its sister in the den.

also, in other happy news, tile starts today! so exciting. carrera marble going down in the master (can't wait!) and white/black penny/pinwheel tile + white subway tile with a greek key border in the shower in the hall bath that jack & i just needawantahadtohave it.

just kidding, that is not our bathroom. but hopefully we will end up with something kind of similar--although we just can't quite afford a fireplace in our bathroom..
